Tourism Council Launches Marketing Assistance Program

Do you or your group need help marketing an event in 2018?  Funds are now available through a new Marketing Assistance Program developed by the Highland Tourism Council. With a mission to stimulate targeted tourism initiatives and market Highland as a destination, the Council would like to partner with other organizations in the county with similar objectives.

The Tourism Council has appropriated up to $1000 in available assistance for Highland organizations or businesses who wish to promote a new event or expand their efforts in marketing an existing one. Applications will be accepted through December 8, 2017 for amounts ranging from $250 to $1000 and be limited to one per organization. Funds will be available by the Council beginning in January 2018. In addition to funds, the Council will also provide technical assistance in marketing the event.

Successful candidates will partner with the Council to promote Highland culture, traditions, and natural beauty while having a positive impact on the local economy. Program funds can be used for advertising, printed promotional pieces, website design, social media boosts, graphic assistance, and other approved marketing expenses.

Full details for the Marketing Assistance Program Guidelines and Application Form are available on the Highland County website or at the Highland Visitor Center at The Highland Center in  Monterey.
